Tales from the Cask Holiday Gift Guide

Hey Caskers! Are you looking for a great gift for the beer lover in your life, or maybe something for yourself?  From books to beer, here are the Tales casts’ personal recommendations!

If you’re making a New Year’s resolution to become a beer expert, add The Oxford Companion to Beer by Garrett Oliver and Tom Colicchio to your holiday gift list. Another great reference tool ideal for planning beer dinners is The Brewmaster’s Table: Discovering the Pleasures of Real Beer with Real Food by Garrett Oliver. If you’re a budding craft brewer and chef, The American Craft Beer Cookbook: 155 Recipes from Your Favorite Brewpubs and Breweries by John Holl is the perfect page-turner. We have personally tested some of these recipes, and can’t wait to see what you think! The book also includes travel advice for visiting breweries!

Beer Serving Accessories

We found a 6-piece Beer Glassware set by Libbey that’s affordable and ensures your beer lover will have a hoppy holiday!  Another great set to check out is made by Spiegelau, which includes a stemmed pilsner, lager, wheat beer and tall pilsner beer glass.

Homebrewing Supplies

If you have a beer lover in mind who is hard to shop for, we suggest checking out American Brewmaster for some ideas. Their website provides a wide selection of homebrewing kits, ingredients, kegging supplies and more. You can also purchase gift certificates if your homebrewer would prefer to shop for themselves!

The kegerator is the ultimate at-home beer experience! You can convert a fridge with a kit or buy a brand new one ready to go! Here are a couple of our faves:

Stocking Stuffers

Looking for a little something that still makes a statement? Try a stocking stuffer that is sure to please! Our favorites are HOPZ Craft Beer Cigars and BRÖÖ hair care products!

For something unique, you can always create your own six packs! Why not go with a theme inspired by one of our Tales Episodes?  Pick a hop, pick a country, or just pick what you think your loved one would like!  Bonus points if you make a gift basket with paired cheeses or other treats! Cheers!
